Meat is often blamed for heart disease and type 2 diabetes, however, people have consumed meat for many years before these diseases became so common. What is important is to avoid eating too much meat and avoid processed meats.

Some people believe that the protein found in meat is bad for the bones and kidneys. Although studies have shown that increased consumption of meat leads to a short-term loss of calcium, long-term effects are actually quite different.

It is true that meat contains a lot of calories and that’s why many people think that it makes us fat. However, meat is an excellent source of proteins which can actually help people with their weight loss efforts.
