4 Easy Steps to Lose Weight

There are millions of people around the world trying to lose weight right now. They have decided to declare war on those extra pounds, but this doesn’t mean that this task needs to be stressful, difficult and boring. This is a shortlist of 4 easy steps to lose weight and they can be practiced by all categories of people.

  1. Walking is more than enough to lose few pounds

5 Miles or about 10.000 steps doesn’t sound like an easy task, but instead of spending money in the gym, make a small reorganization of your lifestyle and simply walk to your office and back home or use your bicycle. There is no doubt that sitting in the chair for most of the day and getting involved in a one-hour intensive workout session all of a sudden is not very beneficial for our health. It is much easier to walk, a practice that’s been used by the thinnest nations like Japanese and Norwegians for years.

  1. Forget the gym

There is absolutely no need to visit a gym. What you really need is movement. Enjoy your time out while you are losing weight. The best part is that, if you continue to use your legs instead of your car or public transport system these lost pounds won’t return. On the other hand, if you want to tone your muscles spend about 5 minutes exercising at home. Work with a different group of muscles every day and you will have more time for walking and you will also save money.

  1. Rest your ears and eyes during the day

The light emitted from the computers and mobile devices create problems in the chemical compounds that control our impulses. Constant monitoring of the messages and activities on our devices increases the secretion of stress hormones. Relax for at least one hour a day and avoid using your phone and computer – read a book or meet your friends instead.

  1. Sleep at least seven hours

The amount of sleep during the night determines how much we eat during the day. Our body needs more energy because it is active for a longer period of time and lack of sleep leads to increased need for foods that affect our weight.

Of course, don’t forget to take care of your diet by eliminating all the junk food and adding food that’s rich in fiber and proteins on the menu.
